There’s also patio seating at sleek modern bistro Brooklyn CaféJoey D’s Oak Room offers a memorable dining experience with Cajun and New York-style specialties and a photo-worthy bar stocked with over 600 different spirits. Ippolito’s is a welcoming neighborhood spot for delicious Italian flatbread pizzas and homemade pasta. Kaiser’s Chophouse is one of the Atlanta Metropolitan Area’s most celebrated restaurants. Things to Do

Just south of Sandy Springs in Buckhead, 268-acre Chastain Park is the largest city park in Atlanta. The many amenities at this sprawling green space include jogging and walking trails, tennis courts, softball diamonds, an arts center, a gymnasium, a golf course, a playground, and a horse park. Chastain Park Amphitheater brings a diverse lineup of concerts to the park ranging from orchestral performances to pop acts. The amphitheater opened in 1944 and is the oldest outdoor performance venue in Atlanta. Over the decades, performers have included everyone from James Brown and Frank Sinatra to Fifth Harmony and Billie Eilish. During the summer, Sandy Springs hosts free concerts every Friday evening as part of City Green LiveHammond Park in the heart of Sandy Springs has basketball and tennis courts, playgrounds, picnic pavilions, and a gymnastics center. 30-acre Morgan Falls Overlook Park is a gorgeous riverside park with a boat dock, hiking trails, fire pits, and porch swings. This park is a popular starting point for river-based adventures, with rentals available for canoes, kayaks, and paddleboards. Riverside Park straddles the boundary between Sandy Springs and Roswell. This park has multi-use trails, children’s play areas, and access to the Chattahoochee River for canoeing, fishing, and kayaking. Riverside Park also hosts a free concert series over the summer months. Heritage Sandy Springs Museum is housed within an original 1860s farmhouse and is surrounded by four acres of farmland. The museum features a variety of exhibits exploring the community’s history. Heritage Sandy Springs hosts the annual Sandy Springs Festival in September with lots of fun activities for all ages to enjoy. Sandy Springs is also home to Anne Frank in the World, a moving exhibit of photographs documenting the tragic story of World War II and the Holocaust. ​​​​​​​
