You can also pick up organic groceries at Whole Foods Market or chic homeware items at Crate & Barrel and West Elm. Entertainment options include a 12-screen movie theater and special events such as monthly comedy nights and weekly live music performances on the outdoor plaza. The award-winning Alpharetta City Center development features chef-driven restaurants and independent retailers around a central lawn and fountain in the heart of the six-block Downtown Alpharetta Historic District. Chiringa brings a beachy vibe to Alpharetta City Center with fresh seafood tacos, lobster rolls, and other globally-influenced coastal cuisines. Jekyll Brewing is a brewery and taproom located on Marconi Drive and in Alpharetta City Center. locations offer a great selection of craft beers brewed on-site along with live music performances and delicious Southern-style eats such as chicken andouille gumbo and shrimp with grits. The City Center location also has a rooftop patio with views over Academy Street and Market Street. Other must-visits include Pure Taqueria on Roswell Street. This lively eatery has authentic Mexican cooking and great margaritas. Pure Taqueria also hosts frequent events such as plancha parties, tequila dinners, and even free yoga sessions.

Things to Do

Ameris Bank Amphitheatre is Alpharetta’s premier performance space where top touring acts stage shows in an outdoor park-like setting. In 2020 alone some of the names scheduled for the amphitheater included Bob Dylan, Rod Stewart, Dave Matthews Band, Hall & Oates, Tim McGraw, Backstreet Boys, and Slipknot. Many other events and festivals take place in Alpharetta throughout the year. Held on the second Thursday of each month between May and October, Food Truck Alley brings 13 top food trucks as well as live music and family-friendly activities to Downtown Alpharetta. Taste of Alpharetta in May gives attendees the chance to sample delicious eats from more than 60 of the city’s best restaurants. Taste of Alpharetta is regularly ranked as one of The Southeast Tourism Society’s top 20 annual events. October’s Wire and Wood Festival features talented singer-songwriters over two days of free performances. Other popular events include Alpharetta Brew Moon Fest in June and the Scarecrow Harvest in October. On Saturday mornings between April and October, Alpharetta Farmers Market hosts vendors offering fresh produce, flowers, high-quality meat, and other foodstuffs.
